DePauw, the 49th best liberal arts institution in the USA, has taught us many things.  This is something of a tribute to this campus of unending construction and an administration of never-beginning common sense.    It's not that our administration doesn't care about what we want; they just have a thing for totalitarianism.… Post the First Comment

I got this job writing columns late enough in my DePauw career to know that I could never use it to convince people on big issues. Five hundred words just isn't enough.  For the most part, I gave up on big issues and instead tried to persuade people on little things.… Post the First Comment

In March, faculty and students were kind enough to use class time so that students could participate in an alcohol survey conducted by a psychology department faculty-student research group. In a year when the greek system has dealt with a number of trials and upheavals, it seems their attendance at Student Congress may have been overlooked.
