Task Force Changes DPU Hazing Policy
A new hazing policy that extends to all organizations, teams and greek chapters has been approved by the University and will be in effect this year.
A product of the Hazing Task Force, the new policy defines hazing in more general terminology, stating hazing is "any action or experience expected of new or current members of a student organization or team, regardless of their willingness to participate, that humiliates or degrades them, or risks emotional or physical harm.…

Faculty member Caroline Jetton was appointed dean of the DePauw University School of Music July 23. Jetton's predecessor, Cleveland Johnson, elected to remain on the school's staff as a full-time faculty member.

Frats burgled over summer
Several fraternity houses were broken into over the summer in separate incidents.
Alpha Tau Omega, Beta Theta Pi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternities all experienced break-ins during the past three months.

Hewlett-Packard awards $120,000 'Technology for Teaching' grant to DePauw
Information technology giant Hewlett-Packard has awarded DePauw University with one of 10 2007 HP Technology for Teaching Leadership awards.
