Ensemble-in-residence wins Grammy


On Sunday, Feb. 10, eighth blackbird violinist Matt Albert was in the audience watching his fellow ensemble member Michael Maccaferri's performance when he received word that the ensemble's album, Strange Imaginary Animals, had won two Grammy Awards. Activist discusses life experiences, welfare reform


Star Parker, African-American author and activist, visited campus Wednesday, Feb. 13 and gave a speech titled "From Entitlement to Empowerment: Leaving the Poverty Plantation." Ashley Square Cinema plans expansion


Ashley Square Cinema has begun providing discounted movies and food for students in the DePauw community, thanks to a new partnership with the University. According to Greg Dillon, director of Campus Activities and Student Services, the management of Ashley Square Cinema approached the University offering students free admission to movies Monday through Thursday and movies for only $1 Friday through Sunday.… 1 Comment

Film studies, Arabic making major progress


Freshmen entering DePauw in the coming years could have more major options at their fingertips than any generation of students before them. New wellness programs offered this semester
