Open arms to DePauw Sometimes the timing is just right. I have lived in Greencastle for over 30 years and my three children are now DePauw graduates. We've been invested in both DePauw and Greencastle, but today I have a renewed sense of optimism about where we are headed as a community and where we have opportunities to create a welcoming and supportive environment for our citizens, young and old, to learn and grow and live.…

Freshmen, run for Student Senate
Student Senate showed promise at the end of last school year as an organization that can better represent DePauw students as a whole. Senators are elected by their peers, rather than appointed from a university-recognized organization on campus. The group's smaller size, limited to 20 individuals or five from each grade, also gives it the potential to adopt more meaningful resolutions in a timely manner.…

Silence leaves cloud of rumors
We want answers. One of President Brian Casey's administrative themes is transparency. We have seen it often, excluding one recent occurence - the sudden and secretive resignation of former head football and baseball coach, Matt Walker.
The university and athletic department have once again hidden behind the policy of declining comment on the resignation of a staff member.…
