Guess has sent out an e-mail to the student body, requesting each student to send a profile picture of his or her choice to be included in the book. After a week, she has received around 60 replies.
"We're getting there," she said. "It gives you an incentive to buy the book. In a way, you've partially contributed."
Students may order a yearbook until May 31. Samual Rund, senior business manager, created an event on Facebook for profile picture submissions, Guess said. Pictures of completed spreads are included to show students how the book looks thus far.
Mote said she hopes that the numbers will go up because many people have worked hard to make big improvements.
Guess does not have a set goal for the yearbook in terms of sales numbers, but would like to exceed the amount of yearbooks sold last year. With only 350-400 yearbooks sold last year, she hopes this new idea will bring it back up to par.
"As long as we see improvement. It's a gradual progression getting up to par," she said. "This is just one step in many steps in gaining publicity."
